The 28th edition of the Arab–African Investment and International Cooperation Summit—held under the theme “Economic Integration – Investment and Opportunities – International Partnerships”—was inaugurated under the patronage of the and a number of ministries, economic bodies, and federations.
The event, organized by the Arab Women Investors Union (AWIU) under the presidency of Dr. Hoda Yasse, began with the opening of the Investment Exhibition for International Projects and Distinguished Products.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Hoda Yasse, Chairperson of the Summit; Mrs. Tamara Vučić, First Lady of the Republic of Serbia; Mrs. Susan Muhwezi, First Presidential representative of H.E. Mrs.
Janet Museveni, First Lady of the Republic of Uganda; Mrs. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, former President of the Republic of Mauritius; and Mr. Ahmed Al-Jarallah, Advisor at the Economic Affairs Department, representing the Arab League.
The exhibition featured a wide range of high-quality investment projects, including a distinguished pavilion for the Suez Canal Authority and its affiliated companies — such as El Temsah Shipbuilding Company, Canal Ports and Major Projects Company, Suez Shipyard Company, and Port Said Engineering and Marine Construction Company — represented by Eng. Ashraf Anwar Abdel Gawny, Head of the Companies Sector at the Authority.
Other participants included the Arab Organization for Industrialization showcasing its high-quality products, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, and several members of the Union presenting their industrial products. The exhibition also featured investment projects in the food industries aimed at opening new export markets, petrochemical projects, the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones’ investment map, as well as opportunities in sports investment, religious tourism, and entrepreneurship development.
During their tour of the exhibition, Mrs. Tamara Vučić and the attending high-level dignitaries commended the quality of the showcased products, their competitiveness in global markets, and the growing trade exchange between participating countries.
Dr. Hoda Yasse stated that the exhibition accompanying the summit represents an important opportunity to build partnerships with leading international investors, in support of tourism and industrial development, promotion of intra-regional trade, and achievement of the targeted export growth to advance comprehensive and sustainable development.
